From naming to packaging: a complete identity project for a food distributor that works every day with quality and reliability.

Dongustaio was created to give a name and an identity to a business specialised in food distribution for the professional channel, which until then had no image able to convey its reliability and the breadth of its range.
The naming plays on two references: "Don", a title that in southern Italy evokes authority and mastery, and "gustaio", linked to taste and to the expertise of those who know how to recognise it.
The result is a name that immediately communicates the brand's positioning: an expert partner able to select, for its customers, the true taste of Italian tradition. Around the name we built an identity system that pairs a deep green with illustrations inspired by the raw ingredients, conveying craftsmanship and professional reliability together.

The new website translates Dongustaio's positioning into digital form, as a reliable partner for the restaurant trade and professional distribution.
The information architecture was built around two distinct journeys, those looking for a supplier and those wishing to become a customer, accompanied by a clear presentation of the product categories.
Clean layouts, an opening video that tells of the company's daily logistics and sections dedicated to suppliers and the sectors served convey the reliability and the reach of a distributor that works every day with a wide variety of professional businesses.

The packaging work began with the Panna Fresca line, one of the fastest-moving products in store. We moved from sketches, useful for rapidly testing information hierarchy and legibility of the carton format, to a final package that combines illustrations inspired by the authenticity of the raw ingredients with a more orderly graphic structure, recognisable on the shelf.
The aim was to align the packaging with the brand's new identity, while keeping immediate the perception of freshness and quality that the product must convey at first glance.
